NYC4PA: Image Selected

Pito, Diptych

Pito, Diptych accepted into the upcoming NYC4PA exhibition, Same but Different, juried by Debra Klomp Ching of KlompChing Gallery in Brooklyn.

These two images of my father, aka Pito, were created about 20 years apart, 2001/2020 respectively. Each has been exhibited as a solo image to this point. But a few months back, I was intrigued by this juried call after having studied these images side by side. I had felt that the subtle and not-so-subtle changes over 20 years of aging spoke directly to the NYC4P call subject.

The exhibition will be held at the Jadite Gallery, 660 10th Ave, New York, NY 10036

The opening reception is on Tuesday, April 4th, from 6:00p-8:00p; the exhibition will hang April 4th -15th, 2023

Truly honored and humbled to have had this piece selected and awarded third place by Ms. Klomp Ching and to hang alongside the other 39 fabulous images.

If you can’t make the show and would like to see all the selected works, here is a link to view: Same but Different

In the comments below, I would love to hear your thoughts on this diptych.
